Under the Medical Director's leadership, the Counseling and Nursing staff work together to provide individualized treatment planning and Medications for Opioid Use Disorders (MOUD). In our confidential office setting we help you gain control over Opioid Dependence by offering the following FDA approved treatment options:

Developed in Germany around 1937 for pain management. Methadone continues to be used for pain management in the United States presently. Since the 1960's Methadone has been used for Opioid Addiction and is available in Liquid form in clinic settings. The recommendation for this medication is to start with a low dosage and increase slowly to a dosage that blocks Opioid withdrawal symptoms and euphoria should the individual try to use other substances.

Suboxone and Zubsolv (Buprenorphine/Naloxone)
In 2002 the FDA approved the combination of Buprenorphine and Naloxone for the treatment of Opioid Addiction. Initially it was thought that this combination would cure Opioid Dependence within 30 days, however it is now available for ongoing maintenance use in the form of Films or Tablets. This medication requires a minimum period of 48 hours of abstinence before taking the initial dosage, having any other Opioid in your system will cause precipitated withdrawals.

Vivitrol (Naltrexone)
In 2006 FDA approved Naltrexone for the treatment of Alcohol abuse and since 2010 Naltrexone has also been used for Opioid Addiction. Naltrexone is available in multiple forms, most commonly used as an intramuscular injection or implant. This medication requires a minimum period of 7-10 days of abstinence from Alcohol and Opioids before taking the initial dosage.
